Ocean Sonics Awarded the Arthur Lubinski Best Paper Award at OCT 2025

May 6, 2025

We’re honoured to share that Emma Carline and Mark S Wood‘s paper, “Unveiling the Power of Sound for Deepwater Assets,” has won the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Arthur Lubinski Best Paper Award at #OTC2025! 🏆

This prestigious award recognizes the best mechanical engineering paper presented at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas. Presented annually by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the award encourages the highest standards of technical quality and innovation in offshore engineering. 👏

This paper was selected from hundreds of submissions and reviewed by a dedicated subcommittee that evaluates the top 10 papers each year. Their scores are compiled and tallied by ASME to determine the final winner.

We’re especially proud to have co-authored this paper in partnership with Chevron. Together, we explored how sound and acoustic technologies can play a critical role in monitoring, protecting, and optimizing deepwater assets, offering safer, more sustainable operations offshore.

Thank you to ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and the OTC community for this recognition. And congratulations to all the other authors and teams whose work continues to push our industry forward.
