To ensure our smart hydrophone systems are the best suited option, we provide services to support your project from beginning to end.
In-house or Online training
Each purchase or rental of an Ocean Sonics product comes with a free training session, taking you through set-up, deployment and use and data processing including using Lucy Software and/or a web browser to view and interpret your sound data.
More advanced Ocean Sonics’ team of engineers and multi-skilled personnel can help you accomplish your underwater sound needs.

Ocean Sonics is happy to provide troubleshooting and one-on-one support. Our staff is available to answer any questions and ensure that your data collection is as effective and easy as possible.
Field Training and Services
Ocean Sonics offers field training services. Our staff will travel to you, equipped with the knowledge and experience to help deploy and ensure your hydrophone and data collection system is operating to its greatest potential and is collecting the data you need.
Our experienced technicians will come to your deployment site and assist you in whatever data collection project you may have.
The icListen family of products are the most user-friendly products on the market, however if it is possible to improve the quality of your data and/or data collection experience we are happy to do so. Our field services include:

Ocean Sonics is pleased to offer in house services for our equipment including but not limited to:
All icListen Smart Hydrophones are pre-calibrated by our engineers at the office in Nova Scotia before shipment. Each hydrophone comes with a calibration certificate indicating the data when it was tested and the outcome of the calibration test. Ocean Sonics recommends recalibrating your icListen Smart Hydrophone every 24 months.
Standard Calibration Information for Each Product
- HF (Standard or X2), In-air calibration at 25 Hz, in-water calibration from 10 to 200 kHz
b. AF (and AFL), in-air calibration at 25 Hz
c. LF, in-air calibration at 25 Hz
All Ocean Sonics products are warranted for 12 months from delivery or commissioning. We know accidents happen. If your product needs service, it will be repaired quickly at our office in Nova Scotia.
Our field technician is available for site visits to assist in troubleshooting. Experienced staff are also available by phone for support and troubleshooting.
Annual instrument maintenance ensures your instruments are in top condition and ready for deployment. Required upgrades are also included in annual maintenance.
