icListen trademark is currently under registration at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

Ocean Sonics, Smart Hydrophone, Smart Projector, icTalk, Lucy, and Float Collar are trademarks of Ocean Sonics Ltd.

Ocean Sonics Ltd., reserves the right to make corrections, modifications, enhancements, improvements, and other changes to its products and services at any time and to discontinue any product or service without notice.

 

Warranty

 

Products are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from the shipment date. Any claims must be made within 12 months of the shipment date. The warranty is void if the equipment was misused, stored improperly when not in use, any equipment seal is opened, or tampered with, or it has been determined that the equipment was improperly wired. Warranty is only valid upon Seller’s receipt of payment in full for the Products to be warranted. The buyer will observe the Sellers and other instructions and regulations that may be issued for the proper use of the equipment and shall be entirely responsible for any damage caused to the said equipment through failure to observe such instructions or regulations. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the equipment is suitable for the intended task.

This privacy policy explains in detail the type of personal data we may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we store and handle that date to ensure it’s safekeeping.

Ocean Sonics is dedicated to protecting your privacy. Should we ask for certain personal or identifying information you can be assured that it is protected and will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Ocean Sonics reserves the right to update or change this policy. As it is posted in a public forum, your continued use of Ocean Sonics services and communications serves as acknowledgement and consent to policy changes. This policy is effective from May 25th, 2018.

Information is securely stored in a number of different systems. These systems have restricted access and only those authorized to view and use this information are provided access.

Physical records are kept at our location in a secure filing system.

Electronic data is stored in secure electronic data filing systems. These systems have multiple layers of security to ensure your personal information is protected.

 

How long is personal information stored

Ocean Sonics will keep your Personal Information only as long as necessary to provide you with the required services, products and communications, as well as for legitimate and essential business purposes. Backup information may be retained for a period of time after the end of formal business relations or your request for deletion. This may occur for a number of reasons: for fraud detection compliance with applicable law, internal security or recordkeeping policies. It may not always be possible to completely remove or delete all of your information due to technical constraints or, contractual, financial or legal requirements.

Criteria used to determine length of data retention include if you have an ongoing relationship with Ocean Sonics; as required by legal obligations to which we are subject; as advisable (in regards to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations).
